Windsor Historic District

The “Birthplace of Vermont,” Windsor has been the scene of more inventions and the home of more inventors than any other community in the state. The village has an unusual concentration of 18th and 19th century architecture with 45 significant buildings, including the Federal-style Old South Congregational Church designed by Asher Benjamin, the Federal John Skinner House, the Greek Revival Windsor House, the Gothic Revival Italianate Post Office designed by Ammi Young.
