| Weston Village Historic District
This well-preserved upland village along the West River contains a wealth of historic buildings dating from the late 1700s to the early 1900s. Mills and factories fueled the local economy. In the center of the district is Farrar Park, with a bandstand, Civil War monument, and granite watering trough. Since the 1930s Weston has become a tourist destination, thanks to the promotion of Vrest Orton, who founded the Vermont Country Store here. |
