The mills in Quechee were known for the large amounts of cloth produced. One old mill still remains and now is a popular commercial attraction. Outstanding buildings include the old 1833 Meeting House remodeled in 1871 by Boston architect Thomas Silloway for a school and the church he designed in 1873.
