The museum is located on a beautiful 100-acre property along the Connecticut River. The Montshire offers two floors of hands-on exhibits in a modern building, and an extensive network of walking trails. Exhibits relate to astronomy, physics, and the environment. Outdoor features include North Woods, an exhibit on the natural history of the Northern Forest, and the Quinn Nature Preserve, which includes trails accessible by wheelchair and stroller. Activities include extensive educational programs for children and adults, concerts, evening lectures, and other community events. Activities take place at the Museum’s Soda Fountain Science Center on Weekends and during school vacation periods.

Hours and Admission: daily, 10am - 5pm. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Adults $7.50, Children (3-17) $6.50. Museum members and children under 3 admitted free.
