One of the first villages in Vermont, this was the site of the 1775 Westminster Massacre, an important event leading to the American Revolution and the founding of the Republic of Vermont. Located along its very broad Main Street are a rare Georgian house, fine Federal houses, the c. 1810 Bradley Law Office, 1889 town hall, and 1923 Colonial Revival library.
