Wallingford Main Street Historic District

Many well-preserved buildings from the 19th and early 20th century tell the story of the rise of Wallingford from an early milling center to bustling industrial village. It is best known for the Batchellor Pitchfork Manufactory, founded in 1935. Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary International, spend his boyhood years in Wallingford.
