The society is located in the former Nickwackett Firehouse, built in 1860. Collections focus on the history of Rutland Town, Proctor, West Rutland, and City of Rutland, and include manuscripts, documents, books, photographs, and costumes. A quarterly publication explires subjects of local historical interest.
