Hubbardton Battlefield
7 miles off Route 4 or 30 in Hubbardton, VT Mailing Address: Telephone: 802-759-2412 (winter) This is the site of the only Revolutionary War battle fought in what is now Vermont. On July 7, 1777, the American colonial forces inflicted heavy casualties on the British and stopped the pursuit of Burgoynes army. The modern visitors center displays objects from the battle, interprets it, and puts it into the full context of the Revolutionary War. Activities include guided tours and an annual reenactment weekend.
