Benson Historic District

Benson is located on the old Whitehall, NY, to Vergennes stage road, one of the earliest roads the Champlain corridor. The village was the center of an early agricultural community and includes early houses, stores, and two churches that generally date from the first half of the 19th century. The Benson United Church, built in 1842, is a fine example of the Greek Revival style.
