Most of the buildings in Thetford Hill, the site of Thetford Academy, date from before the Civil War. The First Congregational Church was built in 1785-88, with alterations from 1830. It is reportedly the oldest meetinghouse in Vermont in continuous use. There are also several distinctive Cape Cod houses with original, enclosed entrance porches, and an unusual 1817 double house.
