Description of Site: the Vermont Arts Council’s Spotlight Gallery space is located in a conference room plus a 20 foot long hallway on the ground floor, and is fully accessible. Curators are invited to suggest shows of Vermont visual artists. The curator is responsible for handling and hanging all work. The gallery’s purpose is to incease the visibility of artists and the public’s familiarity with their work, to celebrate Vermont’s visual artists, bring art into the work space, and encourage other state agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to do the same.
