The Wilbur Collection contains Vermontiana, books, maps, manuscripts, and documents from the 18th century to the present. There are about 75,000 volumes, 5,000 cartons of manuscripts, and 10,000 maps. The Rare Book Collection consists of 1st editions of ancient and modern literature, books on the history of painting, the art of bookmaking, bookbinding and illustration, Canadian history, and U.S. history. The archives keeps records about the University from 1971 to the present.
