| Shelburne Village Historic District
The village of Shelburne developed after the arrival of the railroad in 1849 shifted the towns commercial center from Shelburne Falls to the present crossroads, now a well-preserved district along busy Route 7. The Shelburne Inn was established in 1796. Most village buildings date after the mid-1800s. Major public buildings include three churches, the library, town hall, and school. |
