The homestead is a historic house museum located in a 284-acre public park. It was part of a 1,000-acre farm where Vermont’s Revolutionary War hero settled with his family. In a re-created tavern, a multi-media show explores Ethan Allen’s career and regional history. Exhibitions for 2000 include “History Under Foot: Archaeology at Ethan Allen Homestead,” “House Tale: How the Homestead was Discovered,” “Fanny Allen’s Kitchen Garden,” and “Ethan Allen: the Man and the Myth.”
