| North Bennington Historic District
North Bennington has one of the oldest concentrations of industrial activity in the state. Industrial development in the late 18th and 19th centuries was based on waterpower from the Paran Creek. Although none of the earliest mills remain, mill houses along Sage Street are the oldest surviving structures of their kind in the state. Since the early 1970s, a number of buildings have been rehabilitated. |
