The village of Manchester is dominated by the Equinox House, one of the greatest 19th- century resorts in the state and now restored as an inn. Abraham Lincoln and his family stayed here. There are also 60 other historic buildings that stretch along Route 7-A and along Taconic Street. The streets are lined with marble sidewalks.
