For the past seven years, the Alliance has worked with the Vermont Historical Society, the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, and the Vermont Arts Council on the Cultural Facilities Coalition. In 1993 and 1994, we helped secure a total of $100,000 from the State Legislature for a grants program to help cultural institutions repair or alter their buildings for improved use and access to programs. A new aspect of this program is the dedication of a portion of the money to ADA-related improvements.

The Executive Director sits on the Vermont Historical Records Advisory Board, networks with the Preservation Trust, and is a member of the Cultural Heritage Tourism Advisory Council. She is also a member of the National Steering Committee of the National Conference of State Museum Associations.
